Originally a work for the Jazz/Funk Ensemble No-No-Nonet, this wind quintet version was commissioned in 2011 by FORCE FIVE wind quintet of the Band of the US Army Reserve.
Baile Si Quiere gives the entire ensemble but most specifically, traditionally 'classical' chamber ensembles an opportunity to perform solo up front and in a style of music not common for the classical stage. It also provides an opportunity for them to improvise, making this an out of the box and rewarding experience.
